Pilot Pump
A smaller pump used as a supplemental pump in booster applications. Its purpose is to take over in low consumption periods and thus contribute to lower the energy consumption of the booster as a whole.
Pilot valve
Pilot valves are often used in larger refrigeration plants with many consumers. A pilot valve is an add-on to the in-line valve. It enables a small force to operate the larger valve like in a hydraulic piston.
Plate heat exchanger
A plate heat exchanger is a heat exchanger that is used to transfer heat from one fluid to another.
Pressure is used to circulate liquid in a heating or cooling system and is induced by means of pumps. The pressure in a system is positive in relation to atmospheric pressure.
Pressure boosting system
A pressure boosting system is designed to increase low pressure in a water system in order to achieve sufficient water flow and pressure to consumers.
Pressure reducing valve
A pressure reducing valve measures the pressure of the discharge side of the valve. Its task is to hold the set pressure constant.
Pressure transducer
A pressure transducer is fitted in a heating-, cooling-, or ventilation system. It measures the pressure in a specific location in a system and converts it into a signal which can be read by an instrument.
Pressure transmitter
Measuring and transmitting pressure plays a key role in system monitoring and controlling pumps/fans in order to achieve a required pressure at any given time
PROFIBUS is a network technology mostly used in process industries but you can find it also in building automation. It is a standardised technology for data communication, managed by Profi International.
PT 100 sensor
A PT 100 sensor is a temperature sensor which works by measuring electrical resistance through platinum (Pt) metal. A PT 100 sensor can measure temperatures up to 600 °C
